Slow day at work, spent most of the day doing laundry and going over other people’s work. After work I went swimming to finish the day off with some exercise. My seat pole has arrived. Planning to install it tomorrow.

 After work I headed to a local tavern to meet up with my good friend to catch up and hand back his bicycle helmet from our last trip. I don’t drink anymore so I had a terrible coke and really good chicken strips.

On the ride back home yesterday my seat broke. I had to ride the last 9 miles sitting on my rear rack on the bike. Work went well today. Got a descent pay increase by the director of my department. It was much more than I expected. I ordered a new bike stem for the bike, hopefully I will get it before the weekend.

 Spent the day working in my bathroom. Removed all the damaged drywall and installed the exhaust fan / speaker/Alexa/ light fixture. It is pretty cool listening to music while taking a shower. Tomorrow I will need to pull out the old fan and rewire the new light in the shower. I have moved the location of the fan to the center of the room. The old fan was in the shower.

 I spent the day purchasing items for repairs to the bathroom. I have time to finally complete repairs from last year’s ceiling water damage. Going to start the repairs tomorrow. Hopefully, it will take just one day.

 Want a change in the weather. I woke up to rain and cooler weather over night. Work went well. I made tacos for dinner from the slow cooked beef I made yesterday. Planning to stay up later tonight to watch a movie.

 It was a nice easy day at work. I hope tomorrow is this easy to end the week on a good note. The sun was out this afternoon. Jumped in the pool during my lunch break. Today is the first time using an Instapot. I used it as a slow cooker. And it did what it supposed to do. This thing is to replace a lot of kitchen gadgets. I live in a small house and space is a premium.

The bird house is still vacant. Hopefully a bird will make it a home.

 A beautiful morning for a bike ride to work. The cool morning air was nice. The return trip was an inferno at 88°F. Work went well enough. My yearly appraisal was today. I met with my temp team lead and the director of IT.  We spent over 2 hours discussing how to make the group better and my contributions to my team and department. It went very well, and another meeting was scheduled to discuss compensation.

Once at home I jumped into the pool to cool off and spent the rest of the day in there.

I rode my bike today to work at 5 am. The sky was bright before sunrise, you can see its reflection on it mirror surface. Work went very well. Tomorrow is my yearly appraisal. Going to fight for a raise and promotion to team lead for our group.
