I finally rode my bike to work this morning. Two teammates are on vacation, so we had to divvy up their responsibilities. On the way back home I explored the area around work and then headed home.

I found a few spots next to the lake to read or even write. I ended up at Coulon Park to watch boats and small planes go by. Just a wonderful place to hang out. The tables are shaded and a good spot to write.

Afterwards I headed to Cedar River Trail Park. There is a pier that not to many people go to. A great spot in the summer. You can look into the Boeing 737 assembly plant with the hanger doors open.

A great day to be out. Planning to do more of this on sunny days.

Drove to work today instead of riding. I had an engagement I need to attend to after work. It turned out to be an nice day. Should be sunny for the rest of the week. Planning to get the kids outside after school.

Setting up plans to me everyone on my trip to my home town. I’m going to meet up will a few of my friends I grew up with. Reminiscing about our previous road trip adventures.

It drizzled most of the morning. I am looking for spots to take a break on the ride home tomorrow. The trail is next to the lake, so I think I can find some hidden gems to kick back and read or study. It should be nice and warm with sun and the temperature around 64°F. There are some doubts that I can ride to work tomorrow. I have previous commitments that might interfere with how much commute time I have.

The new handlebar extensions arrived today and have been installed. My cheap old ones broke and needed to be replaced. I use them to mount my gps and satcom on to it. They are used when I am riding around in the mountains.

My new plans are to ride to work on Wednesday and a test ride up a 12-mile trail to a favorite camp site. I want to check to see if the snow cleared and it is passable. If this is the case, I will plan a quick overnight trip next week if the weather permits.

Doing the finishing touches on the bird house. I am waiting for two parts, and it should be up on Sunday. It will be equipped with a camera inside. I might stream it on You Tube if everything goes well.

Started the day spanning out my week. Worked on my bike’s breaks. The bike is ready to go. Planning to take it to work this week and a trip in the mountains on Saturday. Researching on old mining camp to go hiking to.

I did my early morning grocery shopping and walking in the mall before the stores opened. Ate at Jollibee. I had their two-piece chicken and spaghetti for the first time. The chicken was good, the spaghetti was okay. I drove to Federal Way to pick up some items at Daiso for work.

Started planning and executing the big purge. I am getting rid of anything I don’t use on a daily or weekly basis. It will take two weeks to complete. I did this a few years ago and just need to do this again. Once done, I feel lighter and refreshed. Like starting over again. I just accumulate a lot of stuff that gets in my way of the stuff I want to work on.

My Army and Navy 1945 cookbooks arrived this morning. I purchased them to check out meals using shelf stable and preserved foods. A great resource for camping meals. The serving size is for 100 people, so I will need to calculate for 2 servings.

Got out of bed late. I hardly did any work today. I need to get off my butt and start my day at 4 am. Not getting what I need to get done in the day. Tomorrow will be a new day and will get the day started right.

Another rainy day. Doing more research on locating structures and objects using google maps to go hiking to check them out.  In the late 90s I dreamed about it while looking out of the airplane window. I used to fly at least twice a week for a company I used to work for. I did this for 2.5 years and traveled to forty-nine states. Still need to go to Alaska to pick up the last state. I want to drive there, but now I’m thinking of just flying to a city or taking a ferry.

It was raining on the drive to work. Noticed no one went into the office today until late into the day. I left early to beat traffic, but an accident occured 5 miles ahead and it took me an hour to get home. Played card games with the kids.
