Last night’s Christmas party was fun and the food was amazing. A very classy joint. Stayed up late. This morning was a bit rough, but work was very manageable. Going to bed early to catchup on sleep.

Had to take a day off from work to recover from yesterday’s excursion. My neck and back was sore and couldn’t sit for very long. So I took the rest of the day laying on the couch and resting.

I went on a bike trip to see if I would be able to get to Carter Creek Campsite from Rattle Snake Lake. Rattle Snake had a light dusting of snow with a temperature of 38°F. Hit the trail before sunrise ( 7:15am). The trail was wet but easily ridable. Trail conditions become icy and snow passed Garcia. Snow gradually gets deeper from Garcia (1 inch) to Alice Creek Campground (16 inches). Once I reached Alice Creek I had to turn around because both main batteries died. My reserve power can only power one motor. It struggled going through 16 inches of snow. I had to hike down a mile before I was able to ride the bike. The gears and derailer iced up and was difficult to peddle. Once I got to a lower altitude and the snow levels decrease to 8 inches the gears started work again. Was on full electric power 2.5 miles away from Alice Creek. Reserve power dropped to 5 percent passing Ragnar. Changed to low assist and started to peddle once again. Power completely cut off a fourth of a mile away from Rattle Snake Lake. Was completely on peddle power to get to the car.
Over all I had a blast. Only crashed 3 times, but fell into soft snow. I was not able to make it to my goal of Carter Creek ( 1 mile past Alice Creek). There would be no way to make it to either campsite with a trailer and camping gear. I will need to find another place to winter camp.

Prepped the bike for a trip up Iron Horse Trail. Want to see if I can make it up to the camp site. I should encounter snow on the way up. Not sure the dept of the snow but it should be fun.

Last day of testing my Teepee out in the back yard. Wind storm coming in. Figured out the heater issue and everything works well enough. Will dry out the gear and pack it for the trip.

Work went smoothly. I went shopping and to a nice long hot bath afterwards. I wrote up an equipment list for my winter camping trip at the end of the month. Testing my hot tent and new equipment in the backyard at night to see if it can take the cold.

Crazy fun day at work. Resolve two complex issues that I had to do research to resolve the issue. Only problem it took allot of time to figure it out. But very gratifying. Ordered parts to fix the toilet.

Laundry day! That time of the week I do laundry. I don’t mind it. And the kids like folding laundry with me. I should push Laundry day off to Saturday so they can use the washer and dryer. They are eager to learn.

Me and my son went to the barber for haircuts. Afterwards we went across the street to the arcade to play some games. I forgot my Covid Vaccine card, so we were not able to get in. Got home and made a copy and placed it in my wallet.
