Went to North Bend for a bike ride. Explored a new area then went to for an endurance test on the bike. Hit a rock and slashed a tire.  Made repairs. Almost got hit by a deer on my way back.

Had a good day at work. Spent the rest of the day with the kids at the park running around and having fun. I’m undecided if I want to go to go mountain biking tomorrow. Don’t have a map I need.

Decorated the front yard with Halloween themed items. Ghosts, skeleton, tomb stones, and a whole lot of pumpkins. Kids had fun running around and placing all the decorations. Going to read to the kids before bedtime.

Planning my next trip. A small gas space heater arrived today. Going to use it for my cold weather outdoor kit. It’s going to be nice on my breaks to have a source of heat while resting or eating. Tested it out and it work great.

Enjoyed a dentist appointment this afternoon. Teeth are in good shape. Drained the about ground pool by slicing it with my knife. Pool drain pretty quickly. Kids had fun running around the flooded backyard.

Getting all my exploration tools to work together. Want to make it seamless to plan, document and post online. Putting together my fall winter equipment together. Purchase a small heater so I can take a break, eat and warmup.

Cleaned my gear from my trip. Copied photos and charged all my electronics. Going to start a journal from my expeditions. Starting to post my photos and trip data online. Purchased a waterproof tablet so I can use Gaia in the rain.

Went exploring on my bike after work. My quick planning and assumptions didn’t pay off. Spent 20 minutes finding out that my planned path didn’t allow bikes. So went up Iron Horse to check some locations and test some equipment.

Long but a productive day at work. The team I’m on is great. They helped me resolve an issue that I have been working on for 2 weeks. Planning to head into work tomorrow to get out of the house and a short trip to the mountains.

Getting ready for another trip. Not sure where I’m going to go. I’m thinking of driving into the mountains, jump on the bike and go without a destination and see what I fine.
