I’m spending my afternoons helping the kids do their schoolwork. Did my normal household cleaning as I do throughout the week. For exercise I spilt a few logs for an hour to stock the fire pit. Taught my son Blackjack before he went to bed.

Had a relaxing day. Ordered pizza for the family and played games throughout the day with the kids.

Spent the day cleaning all the dishes and doing laundry. It’s cold and windy today. Sky was clear and sunny. Spent the evening clearing off my desk from all the mail that piled up for the past two weeks. Been very hectic, hopefully I will have free time to do something fun.

Spent the day cooking and freezing food. Made a whole lot of Halupkis. They came out beautiful and delicious. We froze half of them. Hope they freeze well. We have one cabbage head left to use. Need to come up with something for it.

Was helping my daughter with school today. She needed some help with a few of her assignments. I don’t think she really needed the help. She just wanted someone to be with her while she did the work. I didn’t mind, we had fun. After wards we went outside and played tag.

Finished up laundry for the week. A wind storm is coming and secured all our stuff outside so we wouldn’t lose anything. The chill is in the air. I will need to cut down my pear tree soon. Just waiting for the leaves to fall off still. Made hot coco for the family before bed.

Made another treasure hunt while the kids where in class online. This time I made it more complicated. Placed hints in books, under tables, and other sneaky spots. Hints were riddles and pictograms. After school they had a fun adventure.

First treasure hunt went well. Wrote all the clues in invisible ink and placed them around the house. They had to use an UV flashlight to read and locate the next hint card in the dark. Kids loved it.

Spent most of the day cooking. Made fried breaded chicken patties and French Onion soup with port. Both came out delicious. Played games with the kids. Spooky hide and seek was a hit. Going together a treasure hunt while they sleep tonight.

Stayed home and ran around with the kids. Made about 5 lbs of mashed potatoes to be used in Perogies. I need to find some recipes to use up another 10 lbs of potatoes and 10 lbs of onions. I should make some Portuguese Bacalao.
