Hot day. Stayed inside next to the Air Conditioner and watched TV. I only adventured outside to go swimming in the pool. Made a Tom Collins and relaxed throughout the day.

Woke up refreshed. Busy with cleaning off the hiking equipment and repacking for the next trip.  At the end of the day me and the kids went swimming & ordered a pizza.  Once the kids went to bed I made a drink and listen to DS106.

Had a wonderful time hiking to the ghost town of Monte Cristo. Found 11 out of 12 geocaches. My online tracking comments was abysmal. Was busy giving tips on hiking to my friend. It was her first trip.

Spent the morning and much of the afternoon plotting all the point of interest on the GPS. Worked on the web tracker for the transponder I carry. I am ready to go for tomorrow trip.

Almost ready for the Monte Cristo trip. Sprayed down all my gear with bug spray.  Still need to input my route into my GPS and print my maps. I will have a tag along. She is a big geocacher and there is few in the ghost town.

Found my next hike for Friday. Going to try to locate a treasure in Monte Cristo. It’s an 8 mile hike to get to the 1889 mining ghost town. Should be a fun hike. Still in the planning stages. Researching point of interests.

Today’s plan of making butter has been postponed till tomorrow. Got caught up on cleaning and organizing the kids rooms.  Did manage to go swimming with my son. He is becoming a good swimmer.

Had a relaxing Sunday. Spent the day watching tv, playing video games, swimming with the kids. For dinner I roasted a chicken. Tomorrow I will make some butter by hand. Hope it goes well.

Woke up sore from yesterday’s hike. Cleaned and put away my gear. Went through my photos I took on the trip. Stayed mostly active to keep my soreness to a minimum.

Got up at 2:30 am and started my drive 30 minutes later to Concrete WA to hike up to Park Butte Fire Lookout. The hike was incredible. Every section spectacular.  Hiked for 12 hours. Saw a few Marmots and found 3 geocaches on the way.
