Me and my son went back to the mall for a walk in the morning. We were going to purchase some Pokémon cards but the particular ones he wanted were sold out. We just ordered them from Amazon and got them later that day. We headed back home and picked up the girls and went to Round One to play some crane games. We went through a lot of money in no time. Next time we go I am not playing crane games. They are expensive and very hard to win. I could have played for over an hour with the money I spent on them. We headed home and watched a movie that I fell asleep watching. I don’t remember what movie we watched. I played Janga with my daughter before bedtime.

It snowed for most of the night, but very little snow stuck. Hail still covers the neighborhood roof tops. It is very cold outside. My fingertips started to hurt on the drive to school to drop off the kids. I wore gloves when I picked them up later in the day. It was a beautiful day, with clear skies and clouds moving across the sky. I wish it snowed more and had enough on the ground to play in.

Work went smoothly. I got everyone to get going when the first started. It showed may the afternoon. The rest of the day I was decluttering my things. I got rid of more clothing that I haven’t worn for a long time.

Played games with the kids and had Mc Donald’s for dinner. It was a treat for the kids for helping around the house and all the things they did this week without any hassle.

It was another hectic day at work. We got through it, but I need to get people moving earlier in the day, so we don’t have a collapse in the afternoon.

We were expecting snow fall early in the morning, but it didn’t happen. It started to hail at 2:30 pm and snow by 4:30 pm. Me and my daughter went outside to play in the snow/hail. It was an amazing site to behold. Hail swirling high above us until they become to heave and fall on us. We spent the rest of the night drinking hot cocoa and watching the snow fall from the Livingroom window.

I have all my battery packs and electronics fully charged in case the power goes out in this winter storm. We are expecting below freezing (6°F) and some snow accumulation. We have plenty of food, so we don’t’ need to venture out to obtain any. The city is very mountainous, the roads is very steep and hard to drive in icy snow conditions. It’s best to stay home and enjoy the snow. I am thinking of having a BBQ outside like I normally do in these conditions.

Another busy day at work. Meetings, meetings, meetings. My typical Wednesday.

On the drive home you can feel the cold coming in. Once home the kids were excited for tomorrow’s snowfall. They talked about how fun it will be to play in the snow and make snow forts.

I headed to bed early incase if there is a lot of snow tonight and I need to clear the alley so my wife can drive to work. If it is really bad, she will be taking her PTO. I’m lucky that I have the ability to work from anywhere with an internet connection.

I was awakened in the middle of the night by my wife indicating that the ceiling in the bathroom was leaking. I spent 35 minutes locating the leak. It was coming from a sewage vent pipe from the roof. The rainwater ran down the pipe and into the bathroom. Once the wind died down the water stopped coming in. There was some water that came in, but not very much. I dried the area and left the ceiling in the bathroom open to dry what is left. I will place the board back up tomorrow. Work was hectic. A lot of things to do. Once I was off work, I relaxed and watched tv before I made dinner. I did more laundry to end the day. I am very tired and can’t wait to go to sleep.

I had a good day at work. The team is doing well, and I got all my tasks completed today. The house is ready for the upcoming storm. I worry about the high winds and heavy rain. The roof doesn’t do well in high winds. I am hopeful that it will keep the water out.

I got out of bed around 7:30 am and headed to the living room to get the day started. I watched some tv with my son and played a game with him. I was much more tired than I thought and fell asleep for another 2 hours. After waking up from the nap, I felt a lot better. Watched the Seahawks beat the Arizona Cardinals by one point. Afterwards I helped my son make dinner. More of a supervisor than actually doing any of the work. He feels more comfortable in the kitchen. We loaded up the dishwasher and watched some more tv before bed.

Today was one busy day. I started the day at 6:30 am to go for my weekly grocery shopping. I had to make three more stops to buy things for the upcoming freezing weather. We are expecting temperatures to drop down to 13°F next week. I am expecting power outages and bad driving conditions. So, I filled all my propane tanks to capacity, picked up a bag of de-icer and a few bags of wood pellets. I was done shopping around noon. Once home I cleared the parking area of vegetation and any debris. I added crushed rocks around the parking area to prevent us from slipping while getting in the car. It was getting muddy and very slippery after rain fall.  Right after that, I sanitized the bedroom. My wife was having breathing issues when she went to bed. So, I dusted, swept the hard wood floors, washed the sheet in hot water and aired the room while she was at work. Hopefully, it will help. Right after that, me and the kids packed all the Christmas decorations and stored them away for next year. The house looks very spacious now. Kids are running around and sliding across the hardwood floors. Once everything was put away, I headed to the kitchen to teach the kids to make brownies. It is my own personal recipe. While baking I washed the dishes and sat down for dinner. When the brownies were out of the oven, I headed to the laundry area to clean up the cat litter and to fill the water and food dispenser.

I tried some of the brownies and they came out perfect. I ran upstairs to my office and started to write in my journal. I am absolutely exhausted and going to take a shower and head to bed to rest for tomorrow. Good night everyone!

I did another full day at work. I can see the progress I have made with the Wiki and the Presentation Slides. I am introducing more information in my weekly meeting to be sure everyone is on the same page and up to date with the goings on at the company. I am testing out a new text expander software called aText. It looks better than what the company is using but I am not able to import/export between them. I will need to spend time manually copying everything over. It should take about 2 hours to do.

In the evening I started a new after dinner routine. Instead of watching tv or playing video games, we do something else. Each night is something different.  Tonight, we played a board game and on Sunday will be Baking something. It was nice to have the TV off and no music. Just use talking and having fun. This year I am making big changes to what we do or what we purchase. I want more experiences and less watching TV. We are going to start to get out of the house more like we did before Covid. I still need to figure out something to go to this Sunday. Tomorrow I am going shopping and getting the house ready for the below freezing temperatures coming this coming week. I am expecting power outages.
