Long day. I had 3 presentations and a manager’s meeting. My presentation was on a text expander software we use in the office to save time. It rained for most of the day and cleaned up the city. It looks shiny and clean.
My new workflow is coming together. It is simpler and the information I need to see is always visible. At work I use two monitors, and two Surface 2 in 1s (pro and go) as additional monitors. I use my Kendle Scribe to read all my company newsletter to make sure I am up to date with products and known issues and new knowledge base articles. I find it easier to read them on my epaper than from an LCD screen. Plus, I can get away from my desk and read it anywhere. I should write a post on how I set this whole thing up once I have everything smoothed out.

I was very tired once I got home so I took a nap. I played games with the kids and read before bed. Spent time just looking out the window watching the rain fall. There is something peaceful about it. It’s something I enjoy doing when camping in the woods in the autumn days.

I took the family to the Washington State Fair. We ate the most unhealthy food imaginable. It was fun but we walked a lot around the fairgrounds. It rained in the afternoon and cleared quite a few people. We left for home around 3:30 pm and took a nap.

I started restructuring OneNote to make more sense and having the information I need easily accessible. I have included my Surface Go into the workflow, and it is working well with my new responsibilities. This will help me monitor everything and move around the house and office. This will be incredibly useful in meetings and brainstorming sessions for projects.

Feeling weird today. I feel sick but I am not. Just dragged my feet for most of the day. I did do all the laundry, but work was a struggle. I should have jumped into the cold pool this morning to wake me up and get going. I am in the process of changing on how I do things at work. After doing this job over a month, I need to reorganize and remove any notes in OneNote that are not needed. Going to sit down and just write down what I need and how to organize them tomorrow morning. The information needs to be easily accessible. I also need to do time blocking on the calendar since I know all my duties I need to do for work.

I am re-incorporating my Surface Go to my work at home and in the office. It’s been with me since 2018. It was the cheapest model they had and used it like a second display that I can grab and use around the house when I worked at home at my previous job. It is also what I bring traveling. It is all I need. With my new position, I am using it to show chat with my team members and monitoring phone system. If I want to take a break from work and run on the treadmill or do laundry, I can monitor it around the house without disconnecting my Surface Pro from my desk. Saves time and effort. At my desk I use Microsoft Mouse without Boarders to use the same Bluetooth mouse and keyboard that is connected to the Surface Pro. It makes everything fluid.

Going to have this same setup in the office. If I have to go to a meeting, I can just grab my Surface Go and take notes with my pen in OneNote.

Hectic day at work. A lot of catch up from the previous days. The group as a whole is doing great. Especially for missing people due to sickness or personal days off. After school, I took the kids to the arcade to play for a bit. Our game is Minecraft. Collecting cards and leveling up.

Drove to work in rain. This is the first good rain we have had since the start of summer. I had to be cautious of all the oil it pulls up from the road. Work was hectic, I needed to catch up from Friday. I finished the day at home organizing my camping stuff.

I went food shopping this morning for the week. Once home I started to clear out the laundry room. While watching the Seahawks game I organized all the items. I watched TV and went swimming for the rest of the day.
