Spent the day cleaning the camping gear and all the kids’ clothes. Getting them ready for school this week. They start on Wednesday. I used today to get all of this week’s household duties done to make it easier for me.

Up at 6:30 and made breakfast. Two eggs, bacon and linguica rolled in a pita bread. Ate breakfast sitting next to the stream. Packed up and left by 11:30 am. The ride back to the car was uneventful. I had a fun, relaxing trip.
Planning to do more frequent trips solo. Maybe just quick overnight trips.

Road out for 9 miles to a small hidden campsite off Iron Horse Trail. It was a nice ride to the campsite. Saw quite a few small chipmunks on trail. I got up at 2:30 am to check out the stars. It was pitch dark and you could see the Milky Way.

Slow day at work. I spent most of the time setting up the radio SDR on my Surface Go and Android Tablet. I am going to take the tablet with me to tomorrow’s camping trip with my friend. See what signal I can get up in the cascades.

It was a nice day at work. Everything is caught up and was a nice easy. I went swimming during lunch. I washed clothes and helped the kids fold them. Spend some time with the kids playing games and cleaning the house.

I woke up this morning to clean air and a recently washed city. It was a nice cool morning drive. I had to deliver unwelcome news to the team that we need to all be in the office Monday – Wednesday. A few didn’t like the change. Once I arrived home, I went swimming, played Mech Areana with my son, and read with my daughter. Since it is getting darker early, I am planning to go to bed and wake up an hour later.
I am slowly packing for a bike trip with my friend in the Cascades. It will be a 3-day trip and should be fun.

Air quality is much better. My headache is reducing. I am still figuring out how to streamline my job. Keeping people on track and away from distractions like social media and YouTube has been a challenge. I estimate 2 hours of lost time a day.
I used to have this issue at my previous job, and I had removed social media apps from my phone. I tracked my time for a week and saw how much time I spent on the phone doing really nothing. I chose to spend my time off the phone and with my kids and work around the house.

Due to all the smoke in the air, last night I changed out the air filter in the furnace and ran the fan without the heat to clean up the air. I also built an air purifier using an air filter and box fan. It works well enough. Stayed indoors as much as possible.

Smoke is filling the air. The sun this morning was a bright red. I played with the kids for most of the day. The pool is nice a cool at 79°F. It felt refreshing. I fixed my weather station this morning. I need to get it replaced, it’s over 10 years old. Time is going by so fast.

Morning shopping with my son. Spent a lot of time in the candle aisle isle finding a nice scent for the office. I picked Cotton Willow scent. It’s clean and nice. The pool is still very warm. We got a Red Flag warning starting tomorrow. Expecting smoke and fire.
