I had a typical Thursday. I washed clothes and cleaned up the house. I’m not sure if I will continue to journal write online. I could use the time to author articles or work on a podcast I always dreamt about doing. Still thinking about it. My online journals are boring. The daily things I do is pretty much what most people do. I have a paper journal I already write in. I don’t see a value of continuing to write my daily interactions with the world around me. Focusing on specific things may be where I will go from here.

Got home and my camping bunk bed for the kids had arrived. We set it up in the living room to check it out. It’s a Disc-O-Bed XL Cot Bunk Bed. It was the perfect size for me and roomy for the kids. This will be great for our upcoming camping trips. I need to put the tent up this Sunday and place everything inside to make sure everything works together. Hopefully, this gives us more room inside the tent.

Nothing much happened today. Work was the usual meetings and resolving agents’ issues. I made some discounted steaks I got from the market. They were nice and tender. I reduced the consumption of meat because of the cost. Inflation puts meat just a bit too high. I noticed the market has reduced the selection due to the lack of purchasing. Since I go shopping right when the store opens, I can find discounted meats that weren’t sold the other day that are reduced by 50 to 80 % off of the original price. This is cheaper than before inflation occurred. The downside is that you need to cook the meat within 3 days of purchase or freeze it.

Interesting day at work. Half the agents called in sick, and I hosted an interview. I know a lot of people that are sick right now. I am not sure what is going through, but it hopefully peaked yesterday and is on the way down. The interview went pretty badly. I understand that resumes are padded. But this guy said things that were not true at all. I worked on a project that I was on for 11 years. He was there for 3 months and indicated that he automated the work so effectively that they laid everyone off and used his automation. I didn’t tell him he was full of it, and the project is still going, and it is a continual project that will last for decades to come until they stop leasing equipment. He didn’t know anything on his resume. Incredibly vague on what he did or how he would resolve issues.

I got up early with my son and went shopping for food and some items. It is really nice to go shopping before anyone is up. It saves so much time and we can talk about things without feeling rushed or yelling over the crowds of people. We headed to the mall for our walk and window shopping. The mall is decorated with Dragons for Chinese New Year. It looked good. I went home and watched tv and fell asleep with a cat on my lap again. The purring just puts me to sleep. I played games with my son and spent most of the day on the couch. I just relaxed for the rest of the day.

I enjoyed a lazy Saturday with my son watching cartoons and video games. I even took a nap on the couch with a cat in my lap. In the afternoon me and my wife cleared out the bedroom to clean everything in the bedroom. The room looks great. She just needs to go through all her clothes and pull items out that she no longer needs. I ordered pizza for dinner. I purchased a thin crust pizza and found out that I am not a fan of it. I never had it and had to give it a try. We played Cheese Touch board game before bedtime.

Another day full of meetings. Glad this week is over. We lost two agents, and a lot of changes are underway. I need to get out and do something that is not in front of a computer or desk. I treated the kids to McDonald for dinner and watched a Pokémon movie that I haven’t seen before. It came out in 2019. It was rather good.
After the kids went to bed, I watched the first episode of Masters of the Air. Well done. I can’t wait to continue watching the series.

Another hectic day at work. The director asked a lot of us in a brief period of time. I got most of the things done but will need to finish up tomorrow morning. I am not stressed at all, just tired of the last minute this needs to be done now bs we had to do. It pulled me away from 2 crucial items I needed to do today.

I was happy to clock out and play Mario Cart with my son for the rest of the day.

I lost an agent from my team. He was the new guy and wasn’t able to handle the pressure. He was so close to getting over the bump and it would have been easier for him. There is a lot of knowledge to absorb. But once you get it, it’s easy. He will be missed.

I was very tired after my workday, so I took a nap when I arrived home. After dinner I played a game called Cheese Touch with the kids. It’s a pretty fun game.
