Happy Easter! I woke up at 6am and placed the eggs filled with candy around the back yard. Placed mostly nibbled carrots from the green belt to main presents. Kids had fun finding the eggs and playing with their presents. The food was great and naturally I ate too much and needed to take a nap. Before bedtime me and my daughter played Out Foxed. I really like this co-op game.
Left the house at 7 am with my son to pickup some items around town. We arrived early to the mall while all the stores were still closed . We walked around the mall and talked till the stores opened. Afterwards we spent time at the local arcade and played Ghost Busters. Once home I took a nap and went back to the grocery store to pick up some items that I missed in the morning. It was a good day, walking around the mall with just my son was nice. We talk about video games and what he wanted to do on his school break next week.
Another week that flew by quickly. After work, I picked up the kids from school and drove to the Municipal Airport with a few Happy Meals so we could watch the airplanes arrive/depart from the field. It was fun and the kids really enjoyed it. We headed back home and played Super Mario Odyssey to clear the next world of Moons. I stayed up to plan the week better. I feel that I could do more if I plan more things. I typically forget things if I don’t have them written down.
I took the kids and myself to get a haircut. We didn’t go to the arcade as we originally planned and chose to go next week after work and spend a few hours there instead of an hour. It rained for most of the day. I left early from work to work from the car in the rain. I just like to listen to the rain dance on top of the roof top.
I really want to go camping in the rain. The campsite I want to go to is still covered in snow. I am hopeful the snow will start to melt early this year. Planning to ride my bike to see how far I can get up the mountain before I am stopped by the snow. If I had two more batteries, I should be able to make it. But at 5 batteries I will need a trailer to bring them all. Maybe I should go to a closer camp location and stay overnight in my Teepee with a heater. Just a thought.
I had fun at work today. Spent most of the time talking and going to meetings. The training manual meeting was delayed till tomorrow morning.
Once I arrived home, my son and I played Super Mario Odyssey. Our objective was to find every crescent moon in Moon Kingdom. After an hour we found all the hidden moons. We are going to try to locate all the hidden artifacts of every stage for the next few days. It will most likely take a few weeks to accomplish. After my wife and daughter arrived home, we played Out Foxed board game before their bedtime. I love that game. After the kids went to bed I went outside before my bedtime to read and enjoy the weather.
Slept well last night. The office was cold, so I drank hot tea throughout the day to keep me warm. Completed the 3rd draft of the training manual. Tomorrow we will have another meeting to see if everyone is fine with it. It was a nice sunny day, the kids played outside while I cooked and cleaned. After dinner I tossed around a frisbee with my daughter in the backyard. Played Out Foxed with the kids before bedtime.
Since I go to bed at 7:30 pm to give me an hour to myself to read or watch YouTube videos, and the sunsets at 7:45 pm, I am thinking of going to bed at 8 pm and so I have more time outside while the sun is out.
Time is going fast for me right now. Weeks are flying by, and the kids are growing up insanely fast. I think an extra 30 minutes would be beneficial.
I woke up with a sore back. I must have slept wrong. I went into the office and worked on the never-ending training guide. I feel bad not doing more over the weekend with the kids. This Friday after school I am going pick up the kids from school, pick up McDonald’s Happy Meals, and drive to the local airport and watch the planes land and take off. We used to do this when they were younger. They brought it up a few days ago saying they missed it. With the minivan and a few bean bags in the back, I think it would be fun. Another thing we need to do is get haircuts. Our hair cut routine involves a haircut and playing at the arcade across the street from the barber shop.
I was up all last night because of my allergies. I got out of bed at 8:30 am and headed to the couch. By noon I finally started to do things around the house. I just felt tired and not motivated to do anything. I watched TV and played games with the kids for most of the day. My daughter and I drew for a little bit. In the evening I filled the bathtub with hot water and laid there for over an hour. My weekend plans were placed on hold for another week. Before bed we read to each other and gave good night hugs.
I slept in till 7 am and made breakfast for the kids and I. This weekend I have the kids all to myself. My wife left this morning on a trip up north to a Spinners convention. Before we did anything, I wanted to fix the weather station that is located on the roof. I started to sneeze while on the roof. Not thinking about it, I finished the repairs and headed down. Once I put the ladder away, I started to feel ill and my eyes started to burn. It looks like allergy season started today for me.
Before I felt too ill to do anything, we drove to the market and bought snacks for tonight’s movie.
Once we got back, I felt tired and took a nap. I woke up in time for a movie then took another nap afterward. By nine, I had the kids in bed and tried to go to sleep but couldn’t. My sinuses were dripping, even after taking my pills. It takes a few days to become effective. I was up past midnight until I finally fell asleep.
It was a slow day at work. I’m glad the workday is over, and the weekend has come. The day has been a wet one and I expected more for the next few days. We might even get some snow on Sunday. My spacers for the breaks have arrived and I will be working on installing them tomorrow. Once the breaks are working correctly, I am going to take a test run in the Cascades next weekend.
The Betty Crocker’s Cooking Calendar cookbook arrived this morning. Can’t wait to crack it open tonight and check all the 1962 cooking recipes arranged in months and seasons. I enjoy checking out old books and movies before my time. I find it interesting.
