Finished my presentation for next week on a Text Expander program we use at work. I have been pushing for everyone to use this for over a year. It saves a lot of time on our repetitive tasks. After work I enjoyed the day pool side.

A lot of changes are being made at work. They will be standardizing most of the workflow and how we document issues. I agree with most of the new procedures, but I don’t think the time allocated to do it is not enough. I rode my bike to and from work. Watch the boat be pull and lunched

Road my bike to work today once I arrived, I had to run back and go home. The kid’s sitter was sick and couldn’t make it. I worked the rest of the day at home. BBQed some steaks for dinner then went swimming afterwards.

I was called into the director’s office again. They are going to implement another of my recommendations to help techs. I am putting together a training course on a text expander software that I use to respond to clients with issues quickly.

I will be giving the presentation next week. Spent allot of time helping technicians with issues there were having. Gave them resolutions, a good process to understand the issue and look up solutions, and just talk about what we did over the weekend.

For the next few days, I will be focusing on the presentation and getting ready to showcase how to use the tool.

Wow it got hot today. I was in the crawl space laying down a high frequency cable to my office. Hopefully, I can receive satellite images from NOAA. Due to the heat, Due to the heat, I had to evacuate my office at 1 pm and work from the Livingroom with the AC. I did manage to clear more stuff in the office before I had to leave. Spent the rest of the day in the Livingroom and jumping into the pool to cool off. I drove to 7-11 to pick up Slurpies for everyone. The rest of the week should cool down to the low 80’s.

Another hot day in Seattle. At work today the director asked me into his office to go over some new programs and incentives for employees. I found out all my recommendations I talked to the CEO about were green lighted and wanted more of my input and thoughts of how they are implementing them.

I went camping on Iron Horse Trail by bike. It was a nice cool morning and perfect to start off the bike ride. I towed an overloaded trailer for 9 miles. Me and my daughter painted rocks and ran around the creek. We watched a movie before bedtime.

Prepped all the bikes for tomorrow’s trip to the mountains. Stayed up late packing our gear and food. It should be a beautiful day for a bike ride. I did manage to take a break and go swimming in the 84°F pool.

I didn’t feel well this morning. I started work but after 2.5 hours I had to call it quits. I think the smoke in the air is getting to me. I spent the rest of the day cleaning my office and fixing my rear brakes on my bike.

Nice ride to and from work. The air is a little smokey but not too bad. The picture below was taken at 5: 15 am. We are getting about 14 hours of sun at the moment, and it is great. My rear brake is no longer functioning. Will need to take a look at it tomorrow.
