Wow it got hot today. I was in the crawl space laying down a high frequency cable to my office. Hopefully, I can receive satellite images from NOAA. Due to the heat, Due to the heat, I had to evacuate my office at 1 pm and work from the Livingroom with the AC. I did manage to clear more stuff in the office before I had to leave. Spent the rest of the day in the Livingroom and jumping into the pool to cool off. I drove to 7-11 to pick up Slurpies for everyone. The rest of the week should cool down to the low 80’s.

Another hot day in Seattle. At work today the director asked me into his office to go over some new programs and incentives for employees. I found out all my recommendations I talked to the CEO about were green lighted and wanted more of my input and thoughts of how they are implementing them.

I got up at my regular early morning time. I went grocery shopping right when it opened, I continued to get my to-do list done. It consisted of: Finish Bathroom Ceiling, mow my and my neighbor’s lawn, clear vegetation grown in my backyard, fill CP tank install AC unit, and a lot of little things. Got it all done by 12:30 pm. I was dehydrated and tired. Sitting in the Livingroom next to the AC was luxurious. Spent the rest of the day with the family in the pool and Livingroom watching tv staying cool.

Workday went pretty quick. I picked up a new battery powered lawn mower. My gas mower is in the shop, and I get tired of getting it worked on every two years. I plan to finish my main projects and yard work tomorrow. Todo list ready.

I miss judged how much the kids eat now. We had a light breakfast and headed out. My daughter crashed but was fine. Driving back home I spent 50 dollars’ worth of food for lunch. Once at home we unpacked and went swimming.

I went camping on Iron Horse Trail by bike. It was a nice cool morning and perfect to start off the bike ride. I towed an overloaded trailer for 9 miles. Me and my daughter painted rocks and ran around the creek. We watched a movie before bedtime.

Prepped all the bikes for tomorrow’s trip to the mountains. Stayed up late packing our gear and food. It should be a beautiful day for a bike ride. I did manage to take a break and go swimming in the 84°F pool.

I didn’t feel well this morning. I started work but after 2.5 hours I had to call it quits. I think the smoke in the air is getting to me. I spent the rest of the day cleaning my office and fixing my rear brakes on my bike.

Nice ride to and from work. The air is a little smokey but not too bad. The picture below was taken at 5: 15 am. We are getting about 14 hours of sun at the moment, and it is great. My rear brake is no longer functioning. Will need to take a look at it tomorrow.

Just a routine day at home and work. I didn’t feel like doing anything more. Got my bike ready for tomorrow’s ride to work. I converted Indian Jone’s – Raiders of the Lost Ark into black and white. Going to watch it at night when I go camping. It seems like a good movie to watch in black and white with its use of shadow work throughout the movie like a Noir movie.

I jumped into the pool before bedtime just to feel like I did something. I was able to hold my breath for 55 sec underwater while swimming under water slowly. A new record for me.
