Finished my presentation for next week on a Text Expander program we use at work. I have been pushing for everyone to use this for over a year. It saves a lot of time on our repetitive tasks. After work I enjoyed the day pool side.
A lot of changes are being made at work. They will be standardizing most of the workflow and how we document issues. I agree with most of the new procedures, but I don’t think the time allocated to do it is not enough. I rode my bike to and from work. Watch the boat be pull and lunched
Road my bike to work today once I arrived, I had to run back and go home. The kid’s sitter was sick and couldn’t make it. I worked the rest of the day at home. BBQed some steaks for dinner then went swimming afterwards.
I was called into the director’s office again. They are going to implement another of my recommendations to help techs. I am putting together a training course on a text expander software that I use to respond to clients with issues quickly.
I will be giving the presentation next week. Spent allot of time helping technicians with issues there were having. Gave them resolutions, a good process to understand the issue and look up solutions, and just talk about what we did over the weekend.
For the next few days, I will be focusing on the presentation and getting ready to showcase how to use the tool.
I mowed my other neighbours yard this morning after the early morning grocery shopping. I continued to declutter till the afternoon. I played video games with my son. In the evening we all went swimming int the 80°F pool.
Planned my decluttering for the next month. I organized them in zones and haven’t placed due dates yet. Just going to schedule 15 minutes a day per task in any given zone. Cleared more vegetation from my back yard. The yard is coming together. Saturday morning gardening is relaxing. I will keep doing it throughout this summer.
I am using my Kindle Scribe to create to-do list for the day and am using it to plan my decluttering schedule. I like it more than the Surface because of the e-ink screen. Works very well outside in the bright day. I wish it was able to sync with OneNote, that would be amazing.
I added morning swim to my routine. I did this last summer but for some reason forgot to resume it this year. It is a nice morning wakeup and allows me to clear my mind before the day gets started. Decluttering is still underway. I am working about 15 to 30 minutes a day doing so. I am reworking my daily routine to allow consistent time to declutter my things. This includes all the stuff on my computer and phone. My office is clean but has two drawers that need to be dumped out. I haven’t used anything in these drawers for years. The past hot days had me stay indoors for most of the day. Planning to work on the back yard on Saturday morning while the day is cool. The new plant growth around my house is exploding and needs to be kept in check.
Wow it got hot today. I was in the crawl space laying down a high frequency cable to my office. Hopefully, I can receive satellite images from NOAA. Due to the heat, Due to the heat, I had to evacuate my office at 1 pm and work from the Livingroom with the AC. I did manage to clear more stuff in the office before I had to leave. Spent the rest of the day in the Livingroom and jumping into the pool to cool off. I drove to 7-11 to pick up Slurpies for everyone. The rest of the week should cool down to the low 80’s.
Another hot day in Seattle. At work today the director asked me into his office to go over some new programs and incentives for employees. I found out all my recommendations I talked to the CEO about were green lighted and wanted more of my input and thoughts of how they are implementing them.
I got up at my regular early morning time. I went grocery shopping right when it opened, I continued to get my to-do list done. It consisted of: Finish Bathroom Ceiling, mow my and my neighbor’s lawn, clear vegetation grown in my backyard, fill CP tank install AC unit, and a lot of little things. Got it all done by 12:30 pm. I was dehydrated and tired. Sitting in the Livingroom next to the AC was luxurious. Spent the rest of the day with the family in the pool and Livingroom watching tv staying cool.
